Inés de Jong

Inés is a broadly interested and curious student. She completed her undergraduate Psychology degree with a semester in Norway, where she was introduced to Norwegian culture and beautiful nature. Upon returning, she wanted to develop more within her side job as a recruiter, after which she progressed to recruitment consultant. In this role, she was a hub of clients, recruiters and students looking for jobs and this dynamic role was a learning experience. Inés has always been interested in the ins and outs of organisations, which is why she chose the master’s in Organisation and Management Studies. The Organizing for Global Social Challenges track within this master’s is right up her alley, as this track is focused on the social role that organisations can play. Besides studying, Inés does voluntary work and draws a lot of energy from her social network. In short, Inés is a busy bee who is busy exploring the world around her!

Evi Amersfoort

Evi is a studious student who found out while studying Communication and Information Sciences that one study was not enough. She chose to start studying Religious Studies in her second year, specialising in religion and conflict through an additional minor. She also has a keen interest in intercultural communication, which she put into practice herself while studying for six months in Australia at The University of Queensland. Having successfully completed these studies in five years, she is currently having a gap year. Her work includes working at YAG, where she takes pleasure in executing projects with concrete results. Socially committed as she is, Evi is looking forward to starting a master’s degree in Humanitarian Aid. In doing so, she hopes to combine her acquired knowledge and skills while learning how to contribute to managing humanitarian solutions.

Laurens van Oost

Laurens combines a keen analytical eye with a practical and entrepreneurial approach. After his broad undergraduate studies in Business & International Political Science at Erasmus University College and a full-time board year, Laurens came to the realisation that he wanted to specialise further. He did so with a master’s degree in Business Information Management, where he is currently immersed in the latest developments in (big) data analytics, digital business innovations and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, Laurens works as a part-time business development consultant for two startups working on sustainable healthcare. With his enthusiasm, solution-orientation and creativity, Laurens seeks to transform complex issues into clear strategies. In his spare time, you can find him on the tennis, golf or padel courts.

Bas Hendriks

Bas is driven, humble and versatile with an academic background in Wageningen. Here, he started the bachelor’s degree in Agrotechnology in 2019 and then continued with the master’s degree in Biosystems Engineering. Besides the original study programme, he also participates in the honours programme to do project work with a multidisciplinary team. In addition, Bas had several side jobs during his bachelor’s to learn more of the practice. When he started his masters, it was time for a new challenge and YAG came his way. Through a training he had received from YAG at the NAHSS, he became enthusiastic about the concept of YAG. YAG’s unique structure really appealed to him, and YAG offers the space to let his entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm flow freely. Bas really enjoys being able to contribute to and learn from real-life issues in this multidisciplinary team.

Léo Simon

Léo combines a keen technical eye with a passionate entrepreneurial spirit. A French-speaking student of Biomedical Engineering at TU Delft, he has not only a broad knowledge of science but also an enthusiasm for integrating technology and entrepreneurship.
Léo’s academic track consists of a Bachelor in Nanobiology (TU Delft & Erasmus MC), a minor in Med-tech Entrepreneurship and an exchange to Copenhagen. He also set aside a year of his studies to volunteer as Operations Manager at Project MARCH, where he was involved in developing exoskeletons for paralysed people. This gave Léo the opportunity to apply his determination to integrate technical knowledge with business opportunities.
Outside the academic field, Léo is actively involved in cultural projects and musical activities, both as a musician and organiser. He also enjoys running and kitesurfing.

Frans Kraanen

We are pleased to introduce Frans Kraanen, a 25-year-old professional who recently joined our strategy consulting team. Born in Vught, Frans completed his high school education in Den Bosch before spending an instructive gap year in San Diego, California. Frans gained considerable experience through various internships, including at the renowned Belgian construction company BESIX, at Heineken (where he was involved in Supply Chain activities), and at the cybersecurity start-up ‘MMOX’. He is also currently fulfilling a role as a working student at the Defense department. Frans studies at Delft University of Technology, where he specializes in Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics. Eva van Eijk

During her studies at the Hoge Hotelschool in Maastricht, Eva gained extensive experience in solving problems and developing strategies that meet the needs of both clients and guests. After completing her bachelor’s degree, Eva started the Master in Policy, Communication and Organization at VU University Amsterdam. Her focus is on forming strategic visions for organizations, optimizing interdepartmental communication and implementing successful change processes within organizations.
Eva’s recent entry into consultancy reflects her motivation to use her acquired knowledge to make a valuable contribution to organizations. It energizes her to offer a helping hand to companies. Eva embraces client interaction and is characterized by her customer focus, team-oriented attitude and positive mindset.
In her free time, Eva enjoys exercising, discovering new restaurants and being with friends.

Joyce Otten

Joyce is a YAG’er with broad interests who does not shy away from challenges. She is an ambitious student and has studied in countries including the Netherlands, Japan, and Singapore. This has given her a passion for international business and intercultural communication. Her studies in International Business Administration are therefore a perfect fit for her, as she finds herself in an international environment and learning a lot about management and laying out business strategies. Because of her broad interests, she has also taken courses in law and psychology, and during her exchange in Singapore and various commissions, she has done diverse projects for companies in a variety of sectors. Within YAG, Joyce wants to use her professional knowledge and critical thinking skills to help companies looking to expand internationally, as well as contribute to projects that focus on sustainability. In her free time, she does kickboxing and yoga because she likes to have a good balance between exerting and relaxing. Another great passion of hers is traveling, eating out and cooking different exotic dishes. She regularly writes blogs about this on her own food account 😉

Rubén Guerrero Reyes

Rubén is a disciplined guy who likes to challenge himself. Within his BSc Political Science at the University of Amsterdam he, for example, took part in the Honors and Talent program in addition to the compulsory curriculum. Here he was able to develop his analytical skills, while broadening his horizon. Indeed, the multidisciplinary nature of this track trained him in using different perspectives to approach a problem. He now wants to use these skills within the consulting profession. In addition, Rubén uses his creativity to tackle complex problems. Wihtin YAG he would love to use his creativity to help companies solve strategic issues. His interest in strategy does not come out of the blue. In fact, Rubén has a keen interest in geopolitics, a strategic playing field par excellence. Geopolitical conversations, over a ginger tea, are therefore rarely turned down by him. He is also a true team player and likes to bring out the best in others. In his spare time he is often with his friends, at the gym or in the kitchen preparing a delicious Peruvian dish.

Kay van der Linden

Kay strongly believes that combining everyone’s individual qualities will always lead to the best results. After graduating from bilingual VWO, he was sure he wanted to keep the international aspect in his studies. Therefore, he chose the Bachelor International Business Administration in Tilburg, where he gained broad knowledge about different business disciplines. After completing his Bachelor’s degree, he was looking for a new challenge. This resulted in an internship at Philips Personal Health, where he worked in the marketing management team of the Philips Male Grooming (e.g, OneBlade) and Philips Beauty (e.g., Lumea IPL) product categories. Now that this internship has come to an end, he has started his Masters in Marketing Analytics in Tilburg. At YAG, Kay uses his broad knowledge of business and marketing (analytics) to tackle business challenges. In his spare time, Kay can be found with his family and friends, on the football pitch, or at the gym.
