Bas is driven, humble and versatile with an academic background in Wageningen. Here, he started the bachelor’s degree in Agrotechnology in 2019 and then continued with the master’s degree in Biosystems Engineering. Besides the original study programme, he also participates in the honours programme to do project work with a multidisciplinary team. In addition, Bas had several side jobs during his bachelor’s to learn more of the practice. When he started his masters, it was time for a new challenge and YAG came his way. Through a training he had received from YAG at the NAHSS, he became enthusiastic about the concept of YAG. YAG’s unique structure really appealed to him, and YAG offers the space to let his entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm flow freely. Bas really enjoys being able to contribute to and learn from real-life issues in this multidisciplinary team.
