Enthusiasm, drive and eagerness to learn typify Veerle. From an early age she was always looking for new challenges and had a deep fascination for science. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Science & Technology, she chose to continue her studies in Chemical Engineering at TU Delft, where she continues to develop her technical skills. Within this study Veerle mainly focuses on subjects related to energy transition and circularity, two of the biggest challenges of our time. Her penchant for project-based work originated during her high school days at the Technasium and has led her to various committees and board positions, ranging from a women’s committee at her studies to organizing a large-scale chemistry symposium. But Veerle is not all serious; in her free time, she develops her creative side by solving puzzles, designing logos and trying out new recipes. Within her group of friends and home, she is also the one who likes to plan fun trips and activities. With her determination, technical knowledge and passion for problem-solving, Veerle sees YAG as the perfect opportunity to broaden and immerse herself in the various challenges, ranging from technical to social, that our world holds.
