Fay likes to challenge herself, both personally and professionally. For example, before starting her studies at Erasmus, she spent six months volunteering with street children in South Africa. After this adventurous year, Fay started studying Econometrics and Operations Research in Rotterdam, as it allows her to combine her passion for mathematics with economics. The international, business-oriented character of Rotterdam really appealed to Fay and she has been involved in various committees during her studies. Fay also did an internship at a leading Private Equity firm in Amsterdam where her enthusiasm, creativity and work ethic were well expressed. Next year, Fay will complete her master’s degree in Quantitative Finance, which she combines with strategy consultancy at Young Advisory Group. What appeals to her about strategy consultancy is the varied environment in combination with solving complex issues (“puzzles”). In her spare time, Fay can be found on the tennis court, with a glass of wine on the terrace with friends or on a mountain with a snowboard and occasionally even crampons under her feet.
