Social challenges do not scare Arjen, but are a source of inspiration to do better. Doing business with a purpose is something he has dreamt of since a young age. He digs deep into analysing a problem and its context, in order to come up with an effective solution with the support of all stakeholders at all times. He further developed this puzzling and analysis in his Bachelor of Applied Physics at TU Eindhoven. Through the innovative environment of the Brainport region and interest in society, he discovered his passion for energy transition and circularity. Securing basic needs and involving citizens, businesses and governments are goals he would always go for. During his participation in NAHSS, it became clear that many problems are international and countries can learn a lot from each other. YAG offers Arjen the space to pursue these interests in a professional environment, contributing to solutions he supports. To do this to the best of his ability, he also finds it important to spend time with friends and on the football pitch!
